Two days after Russia invaded Ukraine, Eugene and Olga Zavoloka fled their home near Odesa, Ukraine, with their three children, their best friend, Alona, and her two children, Olga's sister, Julia, her two children, and their dog, Mia. All eleven of them crowded into one vehicle and drove through Moldova, Romania, Hungary, and Slovakia, until they eventually found temporary shelter in Warsaw, Poland.

They have now come to Bountiful, Utah, under the Uniting for Ukraine program for bringing Ukrainians to the United States. This program is 100% reliant on the Ukrainians having a person in the U.S. who agrees to provide them with financial support for the duration of their stay. Realistically, this is an enormous burden for any one individual or family, so we are reaching out to our community for support.

We are looking for basic necessities, transportation, jobs, and monetary donations to help cover their medical needs, cost of travel, and other expenses to get them established.

Contact us below if you would like to make an in-kind donation, be a co-sponsor or if you have any other resources you can point us to.

You may also deposit funds to the Eugene Zavoloka Family Charity account 9124132 at America First Credit Union by going to a branch or calling 1-800-999-3961. A donation receipt will be given at the time of donation.

Thank you!

They're on their way!

July 5, 2022 - All Eleven have finally been approved to come to the U.S.! It's going to take $13,000 in airline tickets alone to get them here, and quite a bit more to get them settled once they arrive. We appreciate the support!
